Episode 16. Beer with 3R: Reduce, Reuse, Recover

Normally, for every liter of beer, 3.5 liters of water are used. However, the Heineken brewery in Craiova manages to use less than 3 liters. In the last six years, the amount of water used in beer packaging, for example, has decreased by 50% at the Craiova plant. This has been achieved not only through major investments in equipment but also through process optimization and waste reduction.
