One of the solutions to the problem of waste in general, plastic in particular, municipal waste, and pollution is called Zero Waste.
However, there is quite a lot of confusion surrounding the concept. Perhaps also because some people misuse it. So, we set out, through this video, to bring a little clarity.
The report presents what Zero Waste looks like at an individual, social, economic, and cultural level.
Because yes, Zero Waste means more than replacing plastic straws with reusable stainless steel straws. Or plastic bottles with a reusable thermos.
Zero Waste is more than an individual lifestyle. It can extend to communities, buildings, cities, businesses, the economy, and public policies.
Zero Waste represents a set of principles that can be widely applied. If there is a real desire to reduce pollution, reduce waste, and eliminate plastic.
A video from which we learn how this apparently wonderful tool can be scaled in combating the three major crises we face: the climate crisis, biodiversity loss, and pollution. But also a presentation of the limitations we have in applying this solution.
We invite you to watch.
